Yunus ﷺ (Jonah) was sent to a great city called Nineveh. He called the people to Allah for a long time. When most of them refused to listen, Yunus left and got on a ship — before Allah told him to go.
A big storm came! The sailors drew lots — and Yunus lost. He went into the sea — and a huge whale swallowed him whole! 🐋
Yunus was in total darkness — the darkness of the night, the darkness of the sea, and the darkness inside the whale. But Allah was right there with him.
No matter what happens, Allah is always there. He never abandons those who call to Him! 🐋
Inside the whale, in the dark, Yunus called to Allah with these words:
Laa ilaaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu mina-dhalimeen.
There is no god but You — Glory be to You — I was wrong!
Allah answered! Yunus was cast out onto dry land while he was ill. A gourd plant grew over him to give him shade. 🌿
Then Yunus went back to his people — and this time, all 100,000 of them believed! Allah says: We sent him to a hundred thousand or more — they believed, and We let them enjoy their lives.
Learn this dua! Laa ilaaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minadhalimeen. Say it when things are really hard! 🤲
Allah tells us in the Quran — be patient and do not leave before Allah says to go!
Allah says: Do not be like the companion of the whale — who called out when he was in distress. Had Allah's grace not reached him, he would have been cast out on the shore in a state of blame!
But because Yunus kept doing tasbih — saying SubhanAllah — inside the whale, Allah chose him again as a Prophet!
The lesson: when things feel slow and hard — stay patient. Do dhikr. Allah controls the hearts and the timing!

Yunus called to Allah in total darkness and Allah answered. He returned to his people and 100,000 of them believed! His dua is one of the most powerful duas we can say.
