🌊 Baby Musa in a Basket on the River!

Musa ﷺ (Moses) was born when a bad king called Fir'awn was ordering the killing of all baby boys. Musa's mother was very scared!

Allah put a feeling in her heart: Feed him — and when you are scared for him, put him in the river! Do not be afraid — We will bring him back to you!

She put baby Musa in a basket on the river. The basket floated all the way to Fir'awn's own palace! Fir'awn's wife found the baby and loved him straight away. Musa grew up inside the palace of the very king who wanted to hurt him — because Allah was protecting him! 😮

🏃 Musa Leaves Egypt

When Musa grew up, he saw an Egyptian man being very cruel to someone from the people of Musa. Musa stepped in to help — but the man died. Musa turned to Allah straight away and said: O my Lord! I have wronged myself — please forgive me! Allah forgave him straight away.

But news spread that people wanted to arrest Musa. A kind man came running to warn him. Musa left Egypt — saying: O my Lord! Save me from the wrongdoing people!

💍 Musa Finds a New Home in Madyan

Musa arrived in a place called Madyan. He sat by a well and saw two young women waiting with their sheep. Everyone else was in the way and the women could not get to the water!

Musa helped them water their sheep straight away. Then he sat in the shade and prayed: O my Lord! I really need whatever good thing You send me!

The women's father — a good and righteous old man — invited Musa to his home. He gave Musa a job and later gave him his daughter to marry. One act of kindness changed everything for Musa! 💚

🔥 The Burning Bush — Allah Speaks to Musa!

After many years, Musa was travelling with his family at night. He saw a fire in the distance and went to look. Suddenly Allah spoke to him directly from within the tree:

O Musa! Take off your shoes — you are in a sacred place. I am Allah — there is no god but Me! Worship Me and pray to remember Me!

Allah also gave Musa two miracles. His staff turned into a real, living snake! 🐍 And his hand glowed brilliant white when he put it inside his shirt! ✨

🐍 Musa and Harun vs the King's Magicians

Allah sent Musa and his brother Harun to the proud king Fir'awn who said he was a god! Fir'awn called his best magic men from all over Egypt.

The magicians threw their staffs and ropes — they looked like snakes! Then Musa threw his staff. It became a real, living snake that swallowed all their fake ones!

The magic men fell down right away. They said: We believe in the Lord of Musa and Harun! Fir'awn was furious and threatened them. But they were not scared anymore — they had seen the truth!

🦟 Nine Signs — And Fir'awn Kept Saying No

Fir'awn kept refusing to free the people of Musa. So Allah sent nine clear signs to Egypt one by one — including the staff-snake, the glowing white hand, floods, locusts, lice, frogs, blood in the water, darkness, and years of poor harvest.

Every time a sign came, Fir'awn would say: Call your God to remove this and we will let your people go! But every time the sign lifted, his heart went hard again. He kept breaking his promise.

Musa waited patiently — trusting Allah through all of it.

🌊 The Sea Splits Open!

Allah told Musa to leave Egypt at night with all the people who believed. But Fir'awn found out and chased after them with his whole army!

They came to the sea. There was nowhere to go! Some people said: We are going to be caught! But Musa said with complete certainty: Never! My Lord is with me — He will guide me!

Allah told Musa: Strike the sea with your staff! Musa struck — and the sea split open into a dry path with great walls of water on each side! They crossed safely. When Fir'awn followed — the sea closed over him. 🌊

📜 Forty Days on the Mountain

After the miracle of the sea, Musa went up to meet Allah on the Mountain of Sinai for forty days to receive the Torah — Allah's special book of guidance for the people of Musa.

While he was there, Musa asked with great love: O my Lord — show Yourself to me! Allah said gently: You cannot see Me. But look at that mountain — if it stays in its place, you will see Me.

When Allah's glory appeared to the mountain — the mountain crumbled to dust! Musa fell to the ground. When he came back he said: Glory be to You! I turn to You! I am the first to believe!

🐂 The Golden Calf

While Musa was on the mountain for forty days, a man named Samiri tricked the people. He made a golden calf that made a sound when the wind blew through it. He said: This is your god!

Harun tried very hard to stop them — but most people followed the golden calf. When Musa came back down and saw it, he was filled with zeal for Allah. He turned to Samiri: What is your story?!

Samiri admitted his trick. Allah said his punishment was: You will spend your life saying Do not touch me! The calf was burned and its ashes were scattered. Musa then asked Allah to forgive his people.

🏔️ Musa and the Wise Man Al-Khidr

Allah told Musa to find a special servant of Allah — Al-Khidr. Musa found him and asked to travel with him to learn. Al-Khidr agreed but said: Do not ask me about anything until I explain it myself!

First: Al-Khidr made a hole in a boat. Second: Al-Khidr ended the life of a young boy. Third: Al-Khidr fixed a wall in a city for free even though the people there had been mean.

Then Al-Khidr explained everything — the boat was to protect it from a cruel king; the boy was going to harm his believing parents greatly; under the wall was treasure for two orphan children from a righteous father. I did none of this on my own — it was all Allah's mercy.

💰 Qarun — The Man Swallowed by the Earth

Among the people of Musa there was a man called Qarun. He was incredibly rich — so rich that it took many strong people just to carry his keys!

People told him: Do not be proud! Use your wealth for good — as Allah has been good to you! But Qarun said: I earned all this myself with my own knowledge!

He went out one day showing off all his wealth. Then the earth opened up and swallowed Qarun and his home completely. Those who had envied him said: Ah! Allah gives to whoever He wills — and had He not been kind to us, He would have swallowed us too!

🌙 Musa on the Night Journey — He Loved This Ummah!

When Prophet Muhammad ﷺ went up through the heavens on the Night Journey, he met Musa ﷺ in the sixth heaven!

After meeting Allah, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was given 50 prayers a day for the Muslims. As he came back down, Musa asked: What did Allah give you? When he heard 50, Musa said: Go back and ask for fewer — your people cannot do it! I tried with my people and I know!

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ went back again and again — and each time, Musa sent him back — until it became 5 prayers — each one counting as ten! Our five daily prayers are a gift — and Musa cared so much about us to help get them reduced!
