Dawud ﷺ (David) was among an army fighting a huge, scary warrior called Jalut (Goliath). Every soldier was too frightened!
By Allah's permission, Dawud fought Jalut — and Allah gave Dawud the victory! Jalut was defeated!
After this, Allah gave Dawud kingship and wisdom. He became one of the greatest kings and Prophets who ever lived. 🌟
With Allah's help, even a young person can do something amazing. Always ask Allah to help you! 💪
Allah gave Dawud the most beautiful voice any human had ever heard! When Dawud praised Allah, something magical happened — Allah told the mountains to echo alongside him! And birds gathered from everywhere to join in the praise! 🐦
Allah also taught Dawud how to make armour from iron to protect people in battle. Allah said to him: Work righteousness — I see everything you do!
Allah gives each of us special gifts! Use your gift — whatever it is — to praise and serve Allah! 🎵
Dawud was known for judging fairly between people. Allah also tested him with a special story — two men climbed over the wall of his prayer room, which surprised him!
One man said: I have 99 sheep and my brother has one — and he asks me to give it to him! Dawud immediately said the brother asking was wrong to demand it.
Then Dawud realised this was a test from Allah! He bowed down and asked Allah to forgive him. Allah forgave him! Then Allah said: O Dawud — We made you a leader on Earth — so judge with truth and do not follow what you desire!
Always be fair to people — even in small arguments between friends. Fair judgment is one of the best things we can do! ⚖️
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ told us the best way to fast is the way Dawud fasted: one day fasting, one day not fasting, one day fasting — and so on!
And the best prayer schedule was also Dawud's: sleep half the night, wake up and pray for a third of it, then sleep again for the last part.
Dawud also made his own living with his own hands — making armour. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: No one has ever eaten food better than what they earned with their own hands — and Dawud ﷺ used to eat from the work of his own hands! 💪
Working hard with your own hands to earn your living is something Allah loves — even Prophets did it! Be hardworking! 💪
Dawud was brave, gifted, and devoted. He made his own living with his own hands. He fasted and prayed with great dedication. Allah gave him the most beautiful voice and the most beautiful character.
